Specimen Collection and Handling
Venipuncture should occur prior to N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) or Metamizole (Sulpyrine) administration due to the potential for falsely depressed results. Collect a Green Top (lithium heparin) or serum separator (SST).
Storage
Plasma or Serum stable for 2 days at 2-8 °C and 10 days at less than or equal to -20 °C.
