Specimen Collection and Handling

Collect in a sterile container.

Stool must conform to Bristol Scale 6 or 7, or specimen will be rejected by the laboratory.
(Semi-liquid or Liquid consistancy)
 

Specimen stable at room temperature (20–30°C ) up to 24 hours. Specimens should be refrigerated if transport to lab is delayed.
